Writing the ending of a novel, especially the third in a series, can be loads of fun, or pure hell. But it’s rarely easy. Today I’m crafting the grand finale of this alien invasion action fest. The kids are finally in school again; the house is quiet, and I’m full of ambition, coffee, and dreams of literary greatness!
I’ve moved from my basement office to the kitchen and turned my phone into a Scrivner workstation. Don’t ask me why, but this is helping me think more creatively today. The first 94k words are with my amazing editor, Lauren Moore, who has put a lot of hard work into this series. October 15th is still the pre-order date–totally doable.
I love this story, and these characters. Hopefully, the last few months of effort will do it justice.
Victory Day
They Came for Blood, Book 3
There is no second place. Humanity either wins, or is slaughtered.
David Osage must rescue the mysterious young Navigator—she’s the key to sending the Fosk-ha away forever. But he has to keep his sister from turning into a monster, even though they need that monster to fight the enemy.
Although uneasy, Earth’s fighters must form an alliance with an alien overlord who has an agenda of his own. Can they choose the winning side, and if they do, can they live with it?
The Fosk-ha have never lost a war, but the battle for Earth will be like nothing human or alien has ever seen.
If you love alien invasion, post-apocalyptic, and mech warrior stories, if you love your planet and your mother and your way of life, Victory Day should be on your ‘read right now’ list.
Join the fight to save Earth!
