Writing multiple projects works for me. Generally, I work on one in the morning and another in the afternoon after a workout, lunch, and a nap.
Yes, My life is so hard.
The Cyborg Option trilogy is different because all three books are done, edited, and set for pre-order. All I have to do is share the launch dates and pray for reviews. Honor of Cyborgs (The Cyborg Option, Book 1) recently broke 100 ratings on Amazon and has a 4.4 star average (4.2 on Goodreads, which has tougher reviewers).
Writers and publishers will understand this next part. I watched with bated breath as Honor of Cyborgs climbed to 1,880 in the overall store (not bad, considering there are millions of books in the Amazon store). Sadly, ranks change as new books have the nerve to be published and insist on pushing my baby out of the limelight!
HoC fell all the way to the 27k rank (overall, not in its categories; I don’t care about categories much). Then, miracle of miracles, this story that I worked and slaved and loved, started to make a comeback.
That’s pretty rare.
I was sad, but now I’m glad.
Check out Honor of Cyborgs if you haven’t already, and definitely leave a review. Science has proven that leaving five-star reviews for books you enjoy leads to longer, happier lives—according to a study I just made up in my head.
Next, check out my new books in June.
They’re pretty entertaining if I do say so myself.
Shining World, Homeworld Lost 10, will launch June 2nd (Variant Publications). This series has had an incredible run so far. If you’re a fan of Noah and Kayan’s crew, read it and leave a review. That really helps get the word out.
Cyborg Rising will be hitting the digital shelves June 4th (Aethon Books). I hope you enjoyed Honor of Cyborgs or at least have it on your list for later.
I hope you had a good Memorial Day weekend and paid your respects to all the veterans who died to protect democracy. We went to the World War I museum in Kansas City, and it was a sobering experience.
Every day, I pray for peace.
Stay safe.
